FAMAB ADAM & EVA Award.

Awards ceremony on 24th November 2011 in Mannheim.

The ceremony is taking place in Mannheim on Thursday 24th November, at the m:con Congress Center Rosengarten.
The ADAM & EVA Awards are presented annually at a special gala event. The ceremony is the pinnacle event of the year for the live communications industries.

ADAM stands for "Award der ausgezeichneten Marken- und Messeauftritte" (award for excellent branding and exhibition appearances) and honours the best exhibition appearances and branding outside of exhibitions and exhibition participations, which have combined a marketing message, corporate identity and architecture in an outstanding manner. ADAM has been awarded annually since 2001.

 

EVA stands for "Event Award" and honours projects that convey marketing messages in direct, emotional and efficient ways.  EVA was awarded for the first time in 1997.

 The "Award for the Best Event Catering" is a brand new category for this year. It is presented by the LECA Forum for outstanding catering in direct business communications. The aim is to celebrate projects for which the caterer has realised the requirements in a particularly creative and successful manner.

AGRITECHNICA - the global market place of the agricultural engineering industry is taking place again from 15th to 19th November 2011 in Hanover. 2,600 exhibitors from 48 countries are presenting in an exhibition space of 320,000 m². Two years ago, 355,000 visitors, including 80,000 from 88 countries came to this unique innovation forum.

car2go makes Amsterdam mobile.

bluepool realised an additional press conference on 25th October 2011 for the start of car2go.

One of the world's largest, purely electric car sharing fleets was launched in Amsterdam on 24th November. With a total of 300 smart fortwo electric drives, registered car2go customers now have a cost-effective and flexible option for travelling around the Dutch capital.

The press conference, the concept for which was created by Cologne agency Oliver Schrott Kommunikation GmbH, covered an area of 600 m² in the hall of the Beurs van Berlage building, the former Amsterdam stock exchange.

Daimler impressed visitors to Talent Week.

Slot car track created at the Carl Benz Center.

From 24-28.10.2011, the Daimler Corporation welcomed over 1,000 guests from diverse target groups to Talent Week. bluepool was responsible for the entire coordination, production and set-up, as well managing the large Daimler slot car track at the Carl Benz Center, Stuttgart. The bluepool team enthusiastically tested out the track during the test phase.

The special feature of the race track: The slot cars are models of the DTM vehicles produced for Daimler. They are controlled using the Mercedes-Benz trekking bike. The resistance is converted into energy and the speed is controlled by the individual cyclist. The cycle driving gear was developed by the University of Karlsruhe (KIT).

The best riders faced each other in the last race every day.  A prize was awarded for the day's best ride time each evening.

Renolit wins.

Red dot award communication design 2011.

The Renolit stand realised by bluepool at the Euroshop 2011 was awarded the Red dot design award in the category of communication design 2011.
The stand will also appear in the standard work for international communication design, the red dot yearbook.
Projekttriangle designed the exhibition stand in cooperation with architectural firm VON M for the Renolit Group for the Euroshop 2011 in Düsseldorf.
Based on the story Through the Looking Glass, and What Alice Found There by Lewis Carroll, suitable typographical motifs were developed on the themes of "nature" and "city". These adorn the 2 to 3-metre-high columns of the exhibition stand, as reliefs in Renolit 3D film. There are two perspectives: One side of the column visualises nature, the other shows motifs of the city.

The stand was honoured on 7th October 2011 at the gala for the red dot award: communication design 2011 in Berlin.

Collection of caravans and classic cars .

Erwin Hymer Museum opens its doors.

The permanent exhibition will open on Saturday, 29th October 2011 in Bad Waldsee in Upper Swabia. The journey of discovery through the history, present and future of travelling has been staged by  Stuttgart Agency Milla & Partner. bluepool realised the signage system, the stations in the exhibition to showcase historical development and the expansion of the auditorium.
Almost 200 exhibits, historical caravans and motorhomes from different manufacturers, motorcycles and accessories from the collection of the octogenarian caravan pioneer Erwin Hymer are on display for visitors over an area of 6,000 m2. The exhibition presents the development of leisure vehicles and documents the change in vehicle production. Marvel at fascinating self-builds and restored unique vehicles. The exhibition is sure to have visitors reminiscing and yearning for travel.
Architecturally, the museum comprises 2 buildings, which are reminiscent of an upright and a reclined caravan window. The large main building houses the permanent exhibition with the management department and rooms for conferences and special exhibitions on the mezzanine floors. The one-storey, smaller building has a backlit glass shell, while the main building has fully glazed north and south façades. The complex with its moulded stainless steel cladding has already become an eye-catching landmark in Bad Waldsee.

Daimler showcases its new Actros at the IAA 2011.

bluepool realised the 630 m² presentation area with a height of 12m in the FA9/FA11 outdoor area. The mainly sloping walls and ceiling were a particular highlight of the building's architecture. A gallery was created on the second floor, which was about 7 m.

Daimler AG demonstrated the size and strength of the Actros with the stand concept, showcasing the company's focus on increased security in traffic and ecological responsibility.

It is the first new car development that has been developed without compromise under the "Trucks you can trust" premise. This includes 2,600 hours precision work in the wind tunnel, 50 million kilometres of engine testing on test benches and in traction mode, plus 20 million kilometres of the new Actros on the road. It is the first and only car to be developed in line with the Euro VI emission standards.
The imposing exhibition stand was successfully realised in cooperation with architects Kauffmann Theilig & Partner, Ostfildern/Kemnat, bluepool and Atelier Markgraph, Frankfurt.

Parts2Clean – 25.-27.10.2011.

bluepool is the sole contractual partner providing planning and realisation for almost 1/3 of the total area at Parts2Clean for the organiser FairXperts. This year, there will also be a bluepool-Lounge. Visitors to the exhibition can take some time-out here for a chat.

The leading international trade fair for industrial parts and surface cleaning is taking place from 25th to 27th October 2011 at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre.

At Parts2Clean everything revolves around cleaning. Parts2Clean is the only international trade fair  that is exclusively devoted to the themes of industrial cleaning and surface cleanliness.

Concept vehicle "Smart Forvision".

The "Smart Forvision" concept car was presented in all its technical details at the Tecday in the Debeos Studios in Böblingen. bluepool was responsible for construction of the entire exhibition space.

Car manufacturer Daimler and chemical group BASF developed an extremely energy-saving test vehicle together. The companies' main focus for the "Smart Forvision" concept car were the themes of energy efficiency, temperature management and lightweight design.

The interplay of vehicle know-how from Smart and the materials and systems expertise from BASF has made the Smart Forvision a prototype for the sustainable and integrated electric mobility of the future. Solar panel roof, plastic bodywork and wheels, electric drive: Daimler and BASF have shown how the car of the future will differ from today's vehicles with their jointly developed Smart Forvision.

bluepool realises Siemens stand.

EMO 2011.

For the second year in a row, bluepool´s pitch has been awarded the contract for the Siemens stand at the EMO. The 6-day world´s premier trade fair for metal working technology from 19.09 – 24.09.2011 is one of the most important fairs for Siemens. Siemens Industry is presenting software solutions for milling machines.

Three main topics will be brought closer to the customer here:
• Solution Industry-related solutions, presented through Power Generation, Urbanisation Mobility, Globalization Consumers and Medical
• Product wall presentation Cross-sector know-how on the topics of PLM, Services, CNC Drives and Solution Partner
• Show and series of presentations Introduction presentations to software topics with multimedia support as well as presentations on practice-oriented application examples
The bluepool team is implementing the concept developed by the Triad Berlin Projektgesellschaft mbH agency in Hanover.

Setting the tone in Berlin.

Metz is starting a new concept with bluepool.

bluepool is handling design and realisation for Metz's exhibition presence for the fifth time. The traditional German company Metz is remaining true to its concept and in future is also focussing on optimum image and sound quality.

The latest trends were presented at the IFA 2011, from 02.09-07.09.2011, e.g. televisions from all 7 product families including 3D televisions and flash units. The 1,096m² stand offered a broad range of products for all interested visitors. Metz also gave the public a glimpse of the commercial side for the first time. This transparency is expected to bring a new dynamic to the consumer world.

Roadshow by truck realised in China.

Siemens advertises energy-efficient solutions and applications directly to the customer.

bluepool realised a roadshow truck presentation in China for Siemens. Energy-efficient solutions and applications for industrial production were advertised there on a tour through China. Siemens deliberately chose the truck in addition to its exhibition appearances, because it enables product presentations directly at customers' own sites. The experts were also able to take more time for the customers' individual questions and requirements. The company presented models and calculations on the topic of energy savings in industry and infrastructure in the 22-square-metre exhibition space in the trailer of the truck. Visitors were shown using computers, graphics and virtual illustrations how Siemens' products, services and intelligent hardware and software solutions can reduce energy consumption. Marc Witzgall, the Project Manager at bluepool, remembers the details of the fittings: "We used modules inside that showed the calculations on the topic of energy savings. Touch screens also illustrated production workflows." He and the bluepool team realised the roadshow truck project in Germany according to Siemens' specifications. The materials coordination and structural realisation was effected with close cooperation between both firms locally in Shanghai. bluepool has a branch there, which delivers exhibition stands, product and company presentations for the Asian market. "Developing the interchangeable interior sections was a particular challenge for us", reports the Project Manager. "This gives Siemens the option during the roadshow and also later on of incorporating new developments and always being up-to-date. The truck can also be adapted for future roadshows". The official start to the roadshow series was on 3rd July 2011 in Beijing in the presence of governmental and industrial association members, companies and international organisations. The truck has been on tour in China since the middle of July and will visit 100 cities in the course of one year.

Exhibition stand honoured with prize.

Holzmedia nominated again.

The stand concept realised by bluepool for the multi-media furniture manufacturer Holzmedia was awarded the iF communication design award 2011 and has now been nominated for the Designpreis Deutschland 2012.
At last year's ORGATEC exhibition Holzmedia presented new concepts and product developments. The synergy of furniture and multi-media technology true to the Holzmedia ideals was also the concept and theme of this year's exhibition presence.

The stand has now also been nominated for the German design award 2012. The "prize of prizes" for German design originated from the national Gute Form prize and is awarded annually for outstanding performance in product and communication design.
This work by VON M comes from the field of communication in the space. The exhibition stand was created in cooperation with Projekttriangle Design Studio. bluepool realised the plans and ideas on site.

bluepool is building an exhibition area of 1,300 m² in total for MOTEK for the 30th anniversary of the exhibition.

The MOTEK is an international trade fair for handling, assembly and automation technology and is the world's leading event in the fields of production and assembly automation, feed technology and material flow, streamlining through handling technology, and industrial handling.

bluepool successfully realised the exhibition presence for its new customer LyondellBasell with a completely new exhibition design, at the FCE Pharma (23-26.05.) in Sao Paulo, together with realisation partner H. Camargo. Further projects for 2011 in China, India, Taiwan and Germany are in the planning stage.

Positive result for the Swiss marketing exhibition.

bluepool is proving its dynamic credentials yet again this year at the marketing exhibition in Zurich and is introducing two new Swiss colleagues at the same time. Lots of positive feedback on the new marketing image and this year's stand concept was also a local confirmation of bluepool's new direction.

With almost 13,000 visitors, 3 % more than last year - despite the high-summer temperatures - the event was a great success for the organiser!

The positive development of the company presentations, particularly the quality of the exhibition  stands, was widely praised. Visitors really enjoyed the pleasant overall ambience and the excellent atmosphere in the halls. The 360° interconnected marketing world ensured visitors enjoyed truly exciting presentations!

Preparations for the SuisseEMEX'12, 21st - 23rd August 2012 are due to commence in the next few days.

Successful financial year.

Annual accounts for bluepool.

Once again it seems: the exhibition business is running behind the economic cycle. Crises reach the industry later and it is the same for the upturn, which also takes a while to reach the exhibition industry.

As a result, bluepool started the financial year in July 2010 with reserved optimism.  A September with record turnover and an equally strong October were then clear proof that the economy and bluepool's customers in particular were once again turning to exhibitions as an essential marketing tool. After the events sector had almost been consumed by the crisis, this important sector for bluepool started to gather momentum again.

The second half of the financial year was shaped by two events. The Euroshop in Düsseldorf in February, with bluepool's new brand appearance on the one hand and the exhibition month of March, which with CeBIT in Hanover and the ISH in Frankfurt brought two leading exhibitions for the industry and for bluepool. Further events such as the TechnoClassica in Essen and the Medtec in Stuttgart ultimately made March one of the best months ever in the company's history.

The balance sheet at the end of the financial year on 30.06.2011 looked extremely good. Target turnover was exceeded, profits clearly increased in the second half-year and a balanced result was achieved in operational business.  

The new financial year has confirmed the positive trend of the last few months. Exhibitions like the IAA in Frankfurt or the EMO in Hanover returned to their former size. Stuttgart, which is an important exhibition venue for bluepool, is looking at a year packed with large events.
bluepool's directors are expecting two-figure growth in turnover and an additional growth in profits.

Additional trade fair stands for the dental industry.

Once again, bluepool has received a contract from the dental sector. KaVo Dental GmbH is presenting at a range of specialist trade fairs organised by the German Fachdental Association in Leipzig, Hamburg, München, Stuttgart, Berlin and Frankfurt between September and November 2011. The KaVo island stand features a 102 m² high quality exhibition stand construction with a modular design.

bluepool is now responsible for the planning, realisation and storage of customer exhibits and system materials for 16 company stands at dental industry trade fairs. European-wide Fachdental exhibitions are planned as well as the leading trade fair IDS in Cologne.

…and has been awarded ÖKOPROFIT certification.

bluepool has achieved ÖKOPROFIT certification after a one-year project.
In the exhibition and event world the resource of time is in short supply. Projects often have to be realised at short notice. In our daily work we use and move enormous volumes of material within very narrow time frames.

So it is all the more important for us to increase environmental awareness in our industry. The ecological approach is reflected across our whole company. bluepool started an initiative in summer 2010 to explore the possibilities of making exhibition construction "greener".  Ecologically responsible business requires a transparent, but binding framework, from the production of the individual products to their disposal, everywhere in the world.

bluepool's ÖKOPROFIT certification represents an initial basic step in this development for the company. The company has reviewed consumption figures over the last 12 months and defined diverse measures. But that's not enough. The next steps have already been defined and bluepool wants to keep working on the process and product improvements with its sustainability team.

Christian Mraz takes over as Managing Director
at bluepool Stand Design and Buildings (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. 

On 1st July 2011, Christian Mraz took over as Managing Director at our subsidiary in Shanghai. Three years' experience in event management and establishing two procurement centres in China are an outstanding preparation for dealing with our customers' complex and diverse requirements for their events in China and other Asian countries.

25th Control Trade Fair 2011

The bluepool team created exhibition stands for 31 international exhibitors at this year's Control in Stuttgart.

CONTROL 2011 also confirmed its reputation as a leading world trade fair for quality assurance in its anniversary year.  Exhibitors from 27 different countries presented innovative solutions for quality assurance. The 55,000 m² of exhibition space gave exhibitors and visitors an ideal platform to exchange information.  An innovative, first-class supporting programme created enormous additional value for all participants.

4th DEE- Firmenlauf 2011.

bluepool competes with large team of 20.

At the 4th DEE- Firmenlauf (inter-company fun run) in Stuttgart, a total of 20 men and women completed the almost 6-km challenge under the TV tower in Stuttgart-Degerloch for bluepool GmbH for the first time under the team name "bluerunners".

The Olympic motto of “taking part is everything“ and the amateur sporting ideal were very much in evidence. Everyone that was well prepared and organised completed the course successfully, making them all winners.

After mastering the course together, the runners swapped their experiences of the run over drinks and food, to bring the day to end.

Sheet metal meets business.

The BLECHexpo(sheet metal trade fair) took place in June 2011 for the 10th time alongside the 3rd SCHWEISStec (joining technology trade fair).

bluepool GmbH realised 182 m² of the anniversary event, at which 1,071 firms from 31 countries exhibited under a motto of "Sheet metal meets business".

The trade fair duo BLECHexpo and SCHWEISStec had almost 26,000 trade visitors and very high numbers from abroad and is the only event worldwide with the complementary technologies of sheet metal working and joining technology.  

The 11th BLECHexpo and 4th SCHWEISStec will be held from 4th to 7th November 2013, once again at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre.

bluepool combines technology and nature.

Use of natural products emphasises marketing message.

bluepool is responsible for realising the around 200 m² exhibition area of the Solar Energy devision of Robert Bosch GmbH. The product presentation was a particular eye-catcher of the two-level stand system. Real grass was used in this area to underline the ecological aspect of solar energy.

The largest solar power exhibition in the world, Intersolar Europe from 08 -10.06.2011 in Munich, aroused great interest in the solar industry. The international exhibitors presented their goods and services and showed off the latest developments and technical innovations.

Premiere of the new Mercedes A-Class

A long-time car favourite for 18 years

The Mercedes-Benz A-Class was presented under the Concept A-Class as part of Auto Shanghai from 21st to 28th April at the Shanghai World Financal Center (SWFC) and contains a wealth of innovations.

On the evening of the impressive presentation of the new Mercedes A-Class at the largest car show in the world  the journalists have been invited.  The concept was developed by Cologne agency Oliver Schrott Kommunikation and realised by the bluepool team.

81st INTERNATIONAL MOTOR SHOW GENEVA.

Daimler AG invited the press to an exclusive evening event the night before the International Motor Show 2011Automobil-Salon 2011 in Geneva. The bluepool team realised the concept of Cologne agency Oliver Schrott Kommunikation for this event. The journalists were entertained with great flair in the 1,728m² cube in the unique Espace Hippomène building, a former sewing machine factory in the original Bauhaus style. This was also the venue for the preview of the new AMG Coupé.

The next Motor Show will take place from 8th to 18th March 2012.

Schill + Seilacher relaunches with bluepool.

The firm Schill + Seilacher – chemical factory producing and refining fibres, textiles, leather, paper, rubber and much more  – in Böblingen has charged bluepool with designing and realising its new Europe-wide exhibition presence.

Tognum: Excellent start to the 2011 financial year

The Tognum-Gruppe, with its two divisions of Engines and Onsite Energy & Components, is one of the world's leading suppliers of engines and propulsion systems for off-road applications and for distributed energy systems.

The Annual General Meeting of the approx. 900 Tognum shareholders was realised in the Graf Zeppelin Haus in Friedrichshafen by bluepool. The design was created by sorgdesign.

bluepool supports regional disabled sports.

bluepool is supporting the Behindertensport Verein Stuttgart for a further two years to continue our local commitment. The Behindertensport Verein Stuttgart is an association that is open to disabled and non-disabled people and sees itself as a kind of sports-based meeting place. There are groups for fistball/handcycling, bowling/athletics, swimming or shooting sports. Winter sports and a special programme for the elderly are particular highlights. bluepool supports "Aktion Deutschland Hilft", a union of German relief organisations

The events in Japan affect us all and bluepool would like to help support the local people with our donation. A devastating earthquake of magnitude 9.0 shook North-east Japan. A massive tsunami swept over entire coastal cities and caused massive damage. 1.4 million households have no access to safe drinking water and hundreds of thousands of people are currently living in emergency shelters. From 03rd to 08th April 2011 (parallel to the HANOVER FAIR), bluepool GmbH will present itself as a FAMAB member at the combined stand. The multisense SPECIAL will take place at the Hanover exhibition centre in the glass pavilion in Hall 11.

125 years of the car – Techno Classica Essen

To mark the anniversary of the car, its inventors are presenting their vintage cars and modern classics at the Techno Classica in Essen with a new concept. 

The Mercedes Benz presence is set to steal the show once again with its vehicles and around 2,000 sqm of stand space.

The concept is designed to accommodate a growing fan community in the future and is due to run until 2013.
